The adrenaline of Speed is back in town with the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, and with it, in the city the great event MONZAGP, to entertain everyone during the days of the race!
The inauguration will be officially held in Piazza Trento and Trieste on the 31st of August, at 5 pm, followed by the performance of the New Bandistic Choir of Città di Monza
And from Thursday 31st August to Sunday 3rd September, a rich calendar of initiatives will accompany and animate the streets and squares of the historic center, which for will turn into a great stage!
Piazza Trento e Trieste: DOWNTOWN VILLAGE
The heart of the whole event is the "Downtown Village" in Piazza Trento and Trieste. Here you can find numerous shows for families, various animation and entertainment activities, musical, dance and sports performances; You will also find special areas for children, for the Formula 1 lovers and the greenery of "Giardini d'autore".
Set up in Piazza Trento and Trieste, the "Giardini d'autore" area, will allow you to discover five different characteristic micro gardens of Brianza, designed by the Agricultural School of Monza Park and made with a mixed vegetation of trees and grenenry integrated with natural furnishings. The area can also be "discovered" through guided tours, especially for children and families.
LABORATORIO FUTURO - IL REGNO DEI BAMBINI
Also in Piazza Trento e Trieste is a special area dedicated to children with lots of fun activities and workshops.
CLUB FORMULA 1
Club Formula 1 is an area in Piazza Trento e Trieste dedicated to Formula 1 lovers. Here you can find the F1 Pit Stop Ferrari Show,
Simulators that will make you dream of being Vettel or Raikkonen, but also consoles, video games, installations and a child-friendly circuit with pedal cars.
Arengario: SPAZIO AGORA'
Under the arcades of the Arengario the "Space Agora" will host conferences of lecturers, administrators, specialists, analysts, but also representatives of local associations, with a wide program of meetings, debates, presentations and roundtables.
Amongst the conferences, on Saturday, September 2, at 10.30 am, don't miss the convention "Promoting Motoring Sport, Promoting Territories", the first appointment of the Road Show - INNOVATOUR , a project of the National Network "Città dei Motori" dedicated to innovation, road safety, motor sports and tourism . Representatives of the institutions and of the sports and tourism world will be confront themselves with the opportunities for valorisation of the local excellence offered by two and four wheel motorcycles.
Piazza Carrobiolo: CENA SOTTO LE STELLE
Piazza Carrobiolo, in the historic center of Monza, will turn into a singular dining room with selected culinary proposals. At lunch smart and dynamic solutions, while in the evening the square hosts the "Dinner Under the Stars": 100 seats under the stars for an alternative dinner. And before dinner, don't miss the aperitif hour with live music.
Piazza Cambiaghi: STREET VILLAGE
In Piazza Cambiaghi Sport demonstartions and Street Food are on scene. And on Friday and Saturday also music, performances!
MONZA GP FEST
Also in the Cambiaghi area, on Friday and Saturday, two live shows featuring music with DJs, choreographies, light shows and stage animations.
But MonzaGP is also culture and tourism. A precious opportunity to get to know Monza and its extraordinary artistic, historical and natural heritage with many exhibitions not to be missed in the city:
>>"Mosè Bianchi. Ritorno a Monza", at the Civic Museums of Monza, dedicated to the town's main 18th century painter, one of the most important in Lombardy at the time.
>> The exhibition -competition “Monza: la città, il Parco, l’Autodromo”, at the Civic Gallery of Monza
>> “Michel Vaillant. Il campione in pista da 60 anni”, at the Urban Center Binario 7 Exhibition Hall
And also, in the evenings of Thursday 31st August, Friday 1st September and Saturday 2nd September, the city centre will become a stage filled with players in medieval costume, testifying the culture of Monza and its rich tradition, with the Re-Enactment of Medieval Monza.
