A fulfilled day in the nature combined with hiking, cultural and gourmet experience. Only an hour drive from the city of Belgrade you'll discover local way of life in rural areas of Serbia, but you'll also see landscapes from, not so high, but beautiful mountain Kosmaj which hides many historical and religious places waiting for travelers to be discovered. If you are a craft beer fan you'll enjoy visit to prominent Serbian craft brewery which is an option in the itinerary.
Your guide will pick you up at the hotel or other place of your stay in Belgrade and you'll drive to a village only an hour drive from Belgrade city center. When we reach it we'll leave the vehicle close to the XIV century monastery which is our recommendation to be visited before we start the hike to the summit of the mountain. The trail first goes through the forest until it reaches first stop, the communist period monument, dedicated to WWII partizans. Further trail goes to the summit where a viewpoint is constructed and from which you'll have a great overview of the entire area. After this point the trail starts to decline and goes again through the forest, on the way you'll pass by ossuary from WWI with remains of Serbian soldiers died defencing this region. At the bottom of forest trail you'll see remains of medieval monastery which are mystically laying in the forest. The route goes then through the village hills and valleys and it'll take an hour of hike to reach local restaurant where we'll have lunch. If you are a vegetarian or vegan there we'll be a limited choice of food for you, because this area traditionally prepares roasted pork and lamb, but we'll manage some fish or vegetables.
After lunch we can visit most prominent Serbian craft brewery Kabinet, if you are a fan of craft beers. They will take you for a short tour around the brewery and then we'll try some of their beers.
After beer story we are returning to Belgrade.
