This 8-hour day trip will be enjoyed by you and a small-group of no more than 8. Your guide will share the history of the area as you travel to Mokra Gora for lunch followed by an authentic train ride along the Šargan Eight. After the train ride, you will visit the ethnic complex of Kustendorf before heading back to Belgrade.
Start your journey at a central meeting location in Belgrade at 8am. Your driver/guide will head toward Mokra Gora through the charming landscape of Western Serbia.
After arriving in Mokra Gora, you will enjoy lunch at the train station restaurant before boarding the train. The Šargan Eight's nostalgic train will take you back in time with its wooden seats, smell of a wood burning stove and the rattling sound of an old train ride.
This 2.5-hour train ride will take you 9.5 miles (15 km) through the scenic countryside of Mokra gora. During the ride you will stop along the way to enjoy the stunning views and even stop at several stations to stretch your legs.
Once you get back to Mokra Gora, you will continue your journey to the village Kustendorf which was built by film director Emir Kusturica. This delightful little town is built on a hill and displays streets named after famous people.
You will conclude your day around 7pm back at the original departure point.
