- You will visit the place where she lived, the locations in the city where she spent her time and the place where her career as a model started.
You will take a walk through the historic city centre and check out bars where the future first lady used to hang out with friends in the late 1980s when she lived in Ljubljana as a high school student.
The tour will begin at the Prešernov trg square where »Konjski rep« bar, a popular meeting point of Ljubljana's youth was located. The tour will then take you past the bar »Roža« where the first lady often met with with her friends.
We will make a stop at the Križanke complex, housing the secondary school of design that she was attending. You will proceed to the Faculty of Architecture and from there to Trg republike square, where the local Vespa dudes used to gather at Cafe Grill. You will take a short drive to the Festival Hall where her modeling career began and visit the Glinškova ploščad residential area where the American first lady used to live while studying in Ljubljana.
In the course of this tour you will get a glimpse into life in Ljubljana at the end of the 1980s, in the last years before the dissolution of the former socialist Yugoslavia.
