Do you want to know the Sacred Valley of the Incas out off the beaten path in a different way meeting Andean locals visiting hidden Sacred sites only known by Andean locals with a beautiful short trek to amazing Archaeological site of Pisac ,
(8:30am) – Pick up from your hotel in the Sacred Valley
(8:30am-9:00am)- Private transportation will take us to the town of Pisac where we will eat a light Andean style breakfast in the Market of Small Producers.
(9:00am-10:30) – We will start our hike up to the Sacred temple of Pisac an ancient ceremonial site where we can find incredible stone carvings.
(10:30am-11:00am) – We will have a small picnic with some incredible views of the Sacred valley landscapes.
(11:00am-1:30pm) – We will walk all around the sacred ceremonial sites in this incredible Incan stone city
(2:30pm-3:30pm) – We will visit the Pisac feria where we could find different souvenirs from alpaca weavings, paintings and textiles.
(3:30pm-4:00pm) –Transportation will take us toward the Andean community of Arin where an Indigenous local “Mamacha” will be waiting for us in her own home with a delicious lunch cooked with ingredients native to the area and prepared using traditional ceramic cookware. As we enter the home of a native Andean we gain a deeper understanding of life in the Sacred Valley of the Inkas.
(4:00pm- 4:20pm) – We will drink a traditional corn beer, “Chicha de Jora” (Sacred beverage of the Incans) in a typical “Chicheria.” The “Chicheria” is the lifeblood of socio- economic community in the Sacred Valley. We will discuss how “Chicha de Jora” is produced and how it contributes so greatly to local Andean culture.
(4:20pm-5:00pm) – Drive back to your hotel.
