The Wolf’s Lair was Hitler's headquarters during World War II. It was a well-guarded place from where Hitler commanded the Nazi State continuously from 1941 to 1944. Among others available for sightseeing at the Wolf's Lair are Hitler's bunker and air-raid shelter, command center and security center, residence of Hermann Göring, Martin Bormann, Wilhelm Keitel, and the Conference room where the assassination attempt for Hitler's life took place. In 1944 during the evacuations of the German army, the complex was destroyed but some bunkers remained intact and are an attraction for visitors from around the world.
