Come and explore the famous caves of Mendip on this Burrington Combe to Cheddar Gorge day tour. If you’re experiencing caving for the first time the small caves at Burrington Combe will get you hooked. If you’d like the challenge of the ascent but you’re not keen on long-distance hill-walking, then this short hiking and caving tour is just for you. No previous training is required.
Meet at Bristol Temple Meads Train Station in the morning for pickup and transportation to Burrington Combe. Start the tour by caving at Burrington before being dropped off at Cheddar Gorge for lunch (at own expense) and a chance to sample the local delights, including the famous cave matured cheese in Cheddar Village.
In the afternoon enjoy the cliff top walk around the gorge and the bird’s eye views across Somerset with a delicious champagne picnic.
At the end of the tour there will be a drop-off arranged back to Bristol Temple Meads Train Station.
