The Museum aims to make known the Caltagirone and its manifestations, in particular photography more interesting. The materials, mainly Sicily and of the district, are sorted by educational key; the exhibition spaces are so rich in images, diagrams and maps. It is divided into three sections:
1-INTRODUCTORY SECTION this section presents the calatinus in terms of geographical and anthropological through particle synthesis (human and physical geography) and message boards with artifacts that highlight the human presence in the territory.
2-GEOLOGICAL SECTION this section aims to make known succinctly the geologic history of Sicily, and consequently the area and present some of the most important paleontological and mineralogical manifestations that characterize it.
3-ORGANIC SECTION (forest environment) is focused on the forest ecosystem, forests of the area and in particular on those of Santo Pietro and Niscemi, recently protected with the creation of two nature reserves directed "Bosco di Santo Pietro" and "Sughereta of Niscemi".
