Inside the Basilica Shrine, made the Museum "Hannibal Of France" opened in the Holy Year of 2000. Its originality consists of the reconstruction of the entire .5 scale "Avignon District", as found in the first encounter with Saint Hannibal the poor lived, called "mignuri" commonly.
The Museum created in two years on projects of architect Ing. Livio Lateef Trombetta proposes the figure and work of the distinguished citizen of Messina. The exhibition begins with a look that goes to the pulpit, Sanctuary and now here placed after the renovation of the sanctuary completed in 1976.
In the entrance Corridor of the Museum you can admire the designs of the Architect Antonio Falcon that such witness, faithfully reproduces the topography and structure of the district. You add so to admire the precious marble statue of the 17th century. Madonna delle Grazie, signed by the sculptor Vincenzo romano Germans, who after the earthquake of 1783 was carried from the Church of Santa Restituta of Annunziata near the river Zaèra.
