Liberty Memorial Museum

Via G. Dozza 24 (Bologna)

Opened in 2000, is devoted to events in Bologna in the last part of the second world war. The visitor is immersed in the suggestions of the past through a narrative that evokes the events linked to the successful attempt, to break the Gothic line. Memorial space is divided into five scenes from the mop-up TODT to the breaching of the Gothic line by the American army, equipped with dioramas and made attractive thanks to the help of special effects. We also offer a unique 16 mm movie on liberation of Bologna and an exhibition of more than 50 military vehicles, among which stands out a Sherman tank perfectly.
