Bagni della Regina Giovanna

Traversa Punta Capo (Sorrento)

The Queen Giovanna Baths are a wonderful natural basin surrounded by rocks and in whose attractions include the ruins of the Villa of Pollio Felice, from Roman times.

The Giovanna Baths are so named in honor of Joan of Anjou, queen of Naples in the first half of the fourteenth century. IT is said that the queen loved to spend time with her own lovers here in the natural pool formed by the reefs, naked but hidden from view.

A magnificent rock arch separates the natural pool from access to the sea, the waters are refreshing and both here and a little further on, in Punta del Capo, you can enjoy diving and wonderful sunsets.
