The Museum consists firstly of the Palace with his fresco cycles, the furnishings and the tower. The Palace also houses the pinacoteca, which documents the history and art of the city of San Gimignano. This reaches its peak at the beginning of the fourteenth century, when the dominant influence, and artistic policy, is that of Siena. The works of the 15th century, largely by Florentine artists document the passage of San Gimignano in the political orbit of Florence. In 1996-97 the Museum was reequipped with modern exhibition features.
