PIAZZA S. VENANZIO, 10 (Camerino)

The sacristy of the basilica, as well as the stone artifacts from the 16th century attributed to Rocco da Vicenza, including a nice sink, retains several objects of sacred art as the processional cross reliquary dated to the mid-14th century. Already stolen in 1968, partially reconstructed thanks to the discovery, about 20 years ago, some of the stolen pieces, recovered between the National Gallery in Washington and the British Museum in London, was reinstated with the other 2 pieces. The quality of the cross, in silver and Golden and translucent enamels, is very high and you can find two different hands: a more cursive script and a more refined Expressionist and which you have the San Francisco and the San Venanzio, patron saint of Camerino.
