The Arpino Acropolis, the "Civitas Vetus", develop the polygonal walls of megalithic VI and V century b.c. Past the main gate, consisting of a large ogival arch, meet other testimonies of Arpino archaic: the Tower of Cicero, ruins of a medieval castle and a cistern. We have no historical evidence of the Roman period architecture to Arpino and, although the tower was named Tower of Cicero, it dates back to medieval times.
