Via Romita, 8 , (Rome)

After a long two-year restoration, the Soprintendenza Speciale per i Beni Archeologici di Roma re-opens the octagonal Hall of the baths of Diocletian, more commonly known as the Planetarium. This octagonal Hall, from the day of its inauguration, the October 28, 1928, retained the leadership of Europe's largest Planetarium.
Consolidation operations provided for safety, consistency and stability returning to the ancient structures. A careful work of micro-pressure controlled blasting on the lower surface of the dome of the Rotunda Diocletiani, has, in fact, unearthed the original texture walls and ribs of the ancient shell.
