The Theatre Museum documents the life of Schmidl theatre and music in Trieste from the eighteenth century to the present day; exposes costumes and scene jewelry, posters, posters, photographs, prints, medals, paintings, musical instruments, objects, archives and manuscripts, autographs.

The splendid rooms of the first floor are dedicated to the history of the buildings and theatrical stars of music and entertainment in Trieste along a span of more than two centuries.

The Museum houses a significant theatrical Schmidl section reserved to the collection of musical instruments. On the second floor are also placement areas dedicated to Giorgio Strehler (whose Museum contains the personal archive) and the documentation and consultation services.
