The Fontanelle Cemetery (in Neapolitan ' or campusanto ' and Funtanelle) is a historic cemetery in the city of Naples, via Fontanelle. Named for the presence in ancient times of water sources, the cemetery welcomes 40,000 remains of people, victims of the great plague in 1656 and 1836 cholera.

The cemetery is known because there was a particular rite, said the ritual of "anime pezzentelle", which provided for the adoption and accommodation in Exchange for protection of a skull (called «capuzzella»), which was an abandoned soul (so called «pezzentella»).
