Piazza Sant'Antonio Nuovo (Trieste)


The Church of Sant'Antonio Taumaturgo (commonly called Church of Sant'Antonio Nuovo), is the main religious building of the Borgo Teresiano and Trieste city centre.
The project of the Church dates back to 1808, but work began only in 1825. The façade is characterized by six ionic columns. On the main façade, in the attic, there are six statues sculpted by Francesco Bosa in 1842, depicting san Giusto, san Sergio, san Servolo, san Mauro, Sant ' Eufemia and santa Tecla.
