Piazza della Vittoria

Piazza della Vittoria (Brescia)

Built between 1927 and 1932 by the architect Marcello Piacentini through the demolition of part of the medieval old town, the subject of dismantling of representative elements of the fascist ideology after World War II is an emblem of urban architecture and organization of two decades.

There stands the Tower or tower of victory, of Italy's first skyscraper and the first in Europe to be made of reinforced concrete.

In the background is the great North post office building, with its two-tone finish-white ocher. Complete the square Tower of the revolution, with a clock
