Palazzo Ducale

Piazza del Popolo (Pesaro)

Doge's Palace, now the seat of the Prefecture, was built by Alessandro Sforza in the second half of the 15th century. The façade consists of an arcade of six arches supported by heavy pillars, and an upper floor with five Windows crowned by coats of arms, swags and putti. The right side (the only visible side), the bow end of the Gothic porch and, upstairs, two large Windows, similar to those fronts but without Crown.
