The Church of Santa Cristina is one of the twin churches in Turin together with the Church of San Carlo. The Church of Santa Cristina is located in Piazza San Carlo and was wanted by the Regent Maria Cristina of France who had it built in 1639. The design of the facade is by Juvarra.

The church was known in 800 as the "church of the Servants", because of the early afternoon Sunday Mass was attended by women in the service of the noble families who had to return to work within 16.
