the cloister of San Francesco, is a unique construction comprised of a particularly striking architecture. A XIV century early style later influenced by different ages, contains remains from pagan temples and other ancient settlements. The San Francesco cloister is among the oldest monuments of Sorrento which, even today, can be visited.
Restored in the early decades of the 20th century, the structure is rinfiorata. With the colors of a harmonious vegetation, the cloister of San Francesco is particularly relaxing and at the same time a somewhat mystical magical luongo.
The structure is very often chosen to host huge rooms and classical concerts and venue for the celebration of civil marriages in Sorrento.
