Attilio Mussino, cartoonist known for effective illustrations of a very successful edition of Pinocchio by Collodi, lived the latter part of his life in Vernante, a small town of the Vermenagna Valley, which made tribute with this museum. Inside were gathered some of his works, leave a legacy to the country from the artist's second wife. The collection the first illustrated edition of Pinocchio of 1911, the version of the same book with animated pages released in 1942 and the thirty-three plates shows the latest edition created by Mussapi, appeared on the comic book of 1952.
Old hemp and cotton petticoats handmade studded shoes, wooden skis, wooden toys and musical instruments of the Occitan tradition are the ethnographic collection of this Museum, which receives testimonies of mountain life in the period between 1950 and the early 1900s. The collection is divided for small thematic environments and includes areas dedicated to the school and to the kitchen.
