Niccolò Machavelli (1469-1527) Secretary of the Florentine Republic in the years ranging from 1498 to 1512, is one of the largest and most interesting figures of the Renaissance. The Museum was expanded and renovated in the course of 2007/2008 and was inaugurated on September 20, 2008. To the Church of Santa Maria del Jesus were added the new premises in which were held the archaeological section and section primitive dwellings.
