ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF VETULONIA

The necropolis of Vetulonia is one of the largest and well known and the burial grounds are both on the East side of West hills to the Plains below, in a campaign rich in olive trees and scrub vegetation. MUSEO CIVICO ARCHEOLOGICO ' ISIDORO FALCHI '

The Museum is named after Isidoro Falchi, the archaeologist who rediscovered the Etruscan city of Vetulonia in the late 19th century. He was born as the Antiquarium of Vetulonia, housed in the premises on the ground floor of the elementary school. The Antiquarium was closed in the early 1980s to extend it. It was reopened in June of the year 2000. Is considerable interest both for the presence of some pieces of great historical and archaeological value, both for the documentation of the various cultural facies of the country, which serve to supplement and complement the visit to the excavation

MULTIMEDIA MUSEUM OF CASA ROSSA XIMENES

Within the Casa Rossa Ximenes is a museum which is an entrance to the nature reserve of the Diaccia Botrona and allows to observe animals that live within the reserve, thanks to the images reproduced on special screens.
