The temple is located in "Funtana ' e Binu", in an elevated position, not far from Lake alto Flumendosa, on the border of Barbagia and Ogliastra. The complex includes the temple, a village and four graves of giants. The temple, built with polygonal blocks of granite, is a rare example of nuragic structure. Nestled in a forest of Oaks, on the border of Barbagia and Ogliastra, Sa Carcaredda includes a nuragic building used for worship, a large village and four graves of giants. The religiosity of the nuragic peoples is illustrated by monuments that recall the ancestor worship and rituals related to the divinity of waters.
The extraordinary artefacts found inside the circular Temple emphasize the centrality of worship and that the mountain had sites during the bronze age in Sardinia.

One in which she is currently is not the original location: was dismantled and reassembled nearby during labor for construction of fast flowing road Nuoro-Lanusei. The grave, located near two nuraghi and of a village, still preserves the gravestone body
