Garibaldi compendium of Caprera

The Compendio Garibaldino opened to the public in 1976 and it is the most visited museum in Sardinia. A large area, set in the uncontaminated nature of the island, holds the buildings and relics that belonged to Giuseppe Garibaldi- who lived here during the last 25 years of his life- or acquired after his death (1882). GIUSEPPE GARIBALDI MEMORIAL

Giuseppe Garibaldi Memorial, in an advanced multimedia exhibition and very engaging, illustrates the life and exploits of the hero in the world.
Located in the former Fort Arbuticci, the tour takes place on four blocks.
It is strictly forbidden, for safety reasons, go in external areas.

From 1 January last the Giuseppe Garibaldi Memorial was transferred under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of cultural heritage and tourism, with the assignment of the entire monument to State Superintendent of Sassari.

NAVAL ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM "NINO LADD"

The Museum is dedicated to the famous Roman wreck and its cargo, recovered in waters of the archipelago.
The ship, which was shipwrecked near the island of Spargi to 120 b.c., was carrying a load of hundreds of amphorae and vases vinarie from Bell production canteen.
The findings of the Board and crew provide interesting data about organization of Roman naval trade, while the wreckage is a chronological benchmark for the production and export of many classes of objects.

MUSEO DIOCESANO LA MADDALENA

The show is based in the parish church of St. Mary Magdalene. The main theme of the exhibition is "treasure of St. Mary Magdalene", ex-votos offered by the devotees to the Patron Saint. Part of the treasure of jewelry production of Italian 16th-18th century.
