ORNITHOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF SARDINIA

MUNICIPAL PARK SA FOGAIA

Set high, like guarding the Giara di Saidi, the corridor is inserted inside the Municipal Park Sa Fogaia, OASIS rich in vegetation and innumerable animal species, besides nature trails. The nuraghe takes its name from the area that is located, call "Sa Fogaia", used in the past as perhaps carbonaia. It consists of three large megalithic bodies joined and several secondary buildings. Its first phase of construction is attributable to the period of the Middle Bronze age. Inside, during the excavation phase, several tools have been found in daily use as cups, vases and bowls.
