Genga Museum gathers works of art, furnishings and cult objects owned by the parish of San Clemente and other of Genga Churches. The collection, consisting of twenty-three paintings on wood or canvas, three sculptures and a few pieces of liturgical vestments, sacristy furniture, chalices and reliquaries, liturgical books, is held in the Church of San Clemente, the first seat of the medieval castle parish, founded in the 11th century, restored and modified in the 16th and 17th centuries.
The ichthyosaurs are marine reptiles that lived during the Mesozoic Era, between 250 and 66 million years ago. Distant relatives of the most famous dinosaurs or the current crocodiles, are now completely extinct. Probably the Ichthyosaurs were the largest animals that lived in the marine environment that dominated the current Umbrian-marches area during the late Jurassic, about 150 million final years ago.
The so-called "Genga's Ichthyosaur fossil was found near Camponocecchio by a local researcher on July 20, 1976, during the works for the construction of a tunnel along the S.S. 76.
