The Museum is located in the prestigious Palazzo Lazzarini, the 13th-century building, with a stone portal of exceptional craftsmanship and the impressive façade, although changes over time, preserving the plant typically medieval. The rooms of the piano nobile welcome today the museum collections, whose core consists of paintings from churches in the territory, especially by the Church of Sant'Agostino. These are boards and paintings dating from between the 16th and 18th centuries, including the painting of the Madonna del soccorso attributable to Marchisiano painter of Giorgio da Tolentino.
The Museum, housed in the basement of the former convent of the Augustinian Fathers, (18th century), is housed in six environments and collects 150 paintings and about eight hundred nativities from around the world, of different sizes and materials, built with the most varied techniques. Of particular interest: a print of ' 700, some icons, a crib of copper 800 French, a Palestinian mother of Pearl crib in the first half of the century, some crib in ebony from Kenya, a Nativity scene carved on a coral cameo from Torre del Greco.
