The Archaeological Park of Urbisaglia occupies the area of the Roman colony of Urbs Salvia, between the villages of South Convent and Majesty to the North, the sides of the SS 78 combining Marche coast centres in Ascoli Piceno. Embraces the complex public districts of the city that develops, with a unitary master plan, in the Augustan age. The Museum, opened to the public in 1996, is located on the ground floor and the first floor of an old school building in the historic centre of the modern town of Urbisaglia. The Museum offers a rich display of artefacts from the excavations in the Roman town of Urbs Salvia, with a path aimed to illustrate the monuments called into light (the Temple of Salus Augusta, cryptoporticus, the amphitheatre, the Theatre) and the stages of life of the Roman town from 2nd century BC to the late Antiquity.
