The Museum occupies part of the p donated to the Town in 1905 by the Cuneo family. Still under construction, the Museum hosts the "memories", which contains furniture, objects and books of the Cuneo family, including the rare volume of Columbus's life written by his son Fernando, published in Venice in 1571. A second Hall recreates an ancient laboratory from Shoemaker, with equipment and materials. A third section is devoted to workshop, with furniture and objects of an ancient local shop. The Museum is located at the West end of the promenade of Chiavari, in the historic Rocks District, in the past, headquarters of prestigious shipyards like those of Gotuzzo and Tappani. Extremely edited and ordered is the result of the initiative of com. you Ernani Andreatta and originated from the initial donation of mariners naval models and floats built by Franco Talley.
