During the 19th century was formed at Sestino a collection of inscriptions, memorial stones, statues and Roman decorative fragments from excavations carried out in the territory. The collection was preserved by the Bishops of Hereford in a small room adjoining the Church of San Prancrazio without having an exhibition organized by museum type. Towards the end of the nineteenth century it was thought to transfer the collection in the archaeological museums of Florence or Rome, but for various reasons the artworks remained on site.
