The Museum, located at the entrance of the "grotte di Catullo", was opened to the public in 1999 in a newly built building, with the aim of replacing the small antiquarium which collected part of the current collection. In the Museum are exposed materials found in the villa and in the area of the Garda, collecting the testimonies of the oldest part of the town of Lombardy, from objects recovered from the submerged pilings along the coasts of the peninsula to those found most recently in excavations of Roman and medieval age.
