State archive of Catanzaro. Section of Lamezia Terme

Established by Ministerial Decree of April 12. 1954 from l January of that year as a subsection of the State archives, AS dependent Catanzaro, was transformed into State Archives section with d.m. 31 mar. 1965 and effect 1° mag. 1965. Only material from the notarial archive Nicastro district, municipality abolished together with Sambiase and Sant'Eufemia common Lamezia in 1968: they took over the town of Lamezia Terme, offices and archives, judicial and administrative magistrates, who worked in the territory, are in AS Carnell.

Museum place of memory

The rich collection of Umberto Zaffina, housed in two adjoining homes, maintains old furnishings and household work gear from local farmers and artisans working until 1940. The exhibition was conceived with the aim of proposing, in architectural spaces remained virtually unchanged, the activities of the Carpenter, blacksmith, Cooper, Shoemaker, bricklayer, of Barber. Interesting are also the areas of the kitchen, bed and dinner where, among other items, are on display: two sweet stone molds, some shelf clay jugs for the hearth, check and other rarities.

Diocesan Museum of sacred art

The Museum is located on the first floor of Palazzo del Seminario Vescovile di Lamezia Terme and was opened in 1998. It is structured into seven sections, which are exposed wooden sculptures dating from the 16th century, paintings from the roglianese School, in addition to liturgical vestments and sacred silver furnishings mostly from southern and local shops, made within a period from the 15TH to the 20th century; some important examples are from ancient Diocese of Nicastro and Martirano.
