ABBEY OF SANTA MARIA DI PULSANO

Built in 591, on the ruins of an ancient pagan oracular temple dedicated to Calchas, was entrusted to the monks of the order of Abbot Sant'Equizio. Museums of the Shrine Basilica San Michele Arcangelo

The Museum collects headstone materials found both inside the sanctuary and from other sites around the sanctuary. The largest group of materials and the start of the lapidary are connected with the excavations carried out in the mid 50s from last century by Mons. Nicola Quitadamo. Naturalistic Museum of the Foresta Umbra

The Umbra Forest is the green heart of Gargano National Park. Stretching over 10,000 hectares, is characterised by impressive flora so that in many ways, even during the day does not beat the sun (hence Umbra).
