On your way to Potsdam you will see the Olympic Stadium, Wannsee, and the Bridge of Spies. In Potsdam stroll through the beautiful gardens, see Cecilienhof and Sanssouci, and also stop at the Baroque Old City, as well as the Dutch Quarter. This is a private, 5-hour tour led by a driver/guide providing live commentary on board an air-conditioned minivan. Group size is limited to 6 people.
Your driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel in Berlin beginning at 9:30am in an air-conditioned minivan. You will go by Charlottenburg Palace and out to the Olympic Stadium first for a photo opportunity in front with the Olympic Rings from the 1936 games. From there go on a scenic drive through the Grunewald. A stop at the Wannsee Villa (closed Tuesdays), site of the infamous 1942 Wannsee Conference, is optional. Then continue over the Glienicke Bridge (the "Bridge of Spies") into Potsdam.
The first stop there is the New Garden with Cecilienhof, site of the 1945 Potsdam Conference, an optional visit (extra charge, audio guides, closed mondays). From there, drive through Alexandrowka, a Russian colony, to Sanssouci Park. Enjoy a stroll in the beautiful park with a photo opportunity of the palace. Later, drive through the Baroque Old Town and also the Dutch Quarter, all together over 400 well-preserved buildings from the 1740's.
Go back to Berlin via the Autobahn. An extension for an extra charge is possible if you want to stay for lunch, or visit one more palace. Arrival back at your hotel will be about 2:30 pm.
