From the town of Buff Bay, you’ll turn up the mountain, passing through small villages along the way up up to about 5,000 feet (1,524 meters) above sea level. Stop for an authentic Jamaican breakfast of ackee and saltfish, fried dumplings, steamed cabbage, and Jamaica’s famous Blue Mountain coffee.
After breakfast, your guide takes you to to the starting point for your bike ride, located at 6,000 feet (1,828 meters) of elevation. From there, you’ll cycle down the mountain with your guide, passing through lush green rainforest, a coffee plantation, and a waterfall en route. Make stops along the way for lunch, a tour of a coffee plantation, and a refreshing dip at Mountain Dew Waterfall.
Expect to ride mostly downhill for about 12 miles (19km) for a moderately challenging ride. Then cool off at the waterfalls before relaxing on the drive back to your Montego Bay hotel where your tour ends.
