The Gallery of the Candelabra is famous for the Roman copies of Hellenistic originals, dated back to the 2nd and 3rd century BC and fascinating 2nd century candelabras. Visiting the Gallery of Maps, you will learn the topographical maps of Italy based on drawings by friar and geographer Ignazio Danti.
Raphael’s Rooms and Borgia apartments were Papal apartments. In the Raphael Rooms where the School of Athens is representing in a whole side wall; you will admire the spectacular art works of Raphael Sanzio and your guide will tell you interesting anecdotes and stories.
In the Borgia Apartments, you will see fascinating decoration of the most refined artists of the Italian Early Renaissance including the Pinturicchio artworks.
What’s special in your tour, is the visit of the Pinacoteca (Painting Gallery), a prestigious gallery with artwork of the Italian masters such as Raphael, Caravaggio and Leonardo Da Vinci, in the Pinacoteca are also preserved the originals tapestries based on the cartoon of Raphael. Once those tapestries stood inside the Sistine Chapel. The Tapestries represent episodes from the life of St. Peter and St. Paul.
Last but not least, you will visit the stunning Sistine Chapel. Put your nose up and look at the ceiling: the amazing painting of Michelangelo will take your breath again.
