Discover Cebu Cultural and History by taking this private Cebu and Lapu-Lapu day tour. Learn about the history of Philippines at Fort San Pedro, Museo Sugbo and Mactan Shrine, explore the amazing and beautiful architecture at Basilica del Sto Nino Church, Magellan’s Cross and Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral. The price is per group/car and hotel round-trip transfer is included.
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cebu or Lapu-Lapu city by a private air-conditioned vehicle around 8am and head to Basilica del Sto Nino Church. The Basilica del Sto Nino Church is the country’s oldest Roman Catholic Church and was made of hard wood, mud and nipa. You will spend time wander around this beautiful architecture and take some photos. At the back entrance of the courtyard we discover the Magellan’s Cross, another popular tourist attraction for its religious and historical significant. You will see people selling candle here.
Next, we move on to Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral, a beautiful architecture for visitors who are into churches, buildings and arts. We then visit Fort San Pedro, known as the smallest and oldest fort in the Philippines that built for military defence by the Spaniards. Lunch break around 11am at your own expense.
After lunch, we continue our tour and visit Taoist temple and Heritage of Cebu Monument before proceed to Yap San Diego House, one of the oldest house in Cebu city. Another tourist attraction Museo Sugbo, Cebu Provincial Museum that was once the provincial jail during the American era. You can find lots of history, artefacts and displays in this small museum.
You will visit to a guitar factory to learn about the guitar making process and Mactan Shrine to learn the history of Philippines. The tour will conclude around 4:30-5pm and our driver will transfer you back to your hotel after a wonderful experience.
