Travel into the heart of the Bohemian Paradise National Park on a one-day, small group trip from Prague. For centuries the Bohemian Paradise area has attracted painters, writers, artists, and dreamers of all kinds. Declared the first geopark in the country by UNESCO, the Bohemian Paradise area is one of the biggest attractions is the area of rock formations between the towns of Jičín and Železný Brod. Thanks to the forces of nature you can admire lofty sandstone forms here, worn into weird and wonderful shapes, some of which are 60m tall. Some have been given strange names such as Kapelník (Choirmaster) and Dračí zub (Dragon’s Tooth). Discover this unique combination of bizarre rock formations, deep pine forests, majestic castles and sublime villages of timber cottages with our private local guide.
This hike will take a 16km long circuit around the rock formations at Hrubá Skála and the elegant Hrubá Skála Chateau, perched right on top of the rocks. After meeting at the main railway station in Prague, it will take ~2 hours by train to the national park. The round-trip transportation is included in the trip price.
We will visit castles, remains of castles, different types of rocks with picturesque views! Lunch time around 12pm with the opportunity to taste typical Czech dishes. The hiking speed and breaks of the group are always adjusted according to the physical condition of those that participate. Your tour ends with the train trip back to the main railway station in Prague.
