Join a 4-hour Vietnamese cooking class in a purpose built training kitchen at the Hanoi Cooking Centre. Walk with your chef through the bustling local market then return to the centre and pair-up with another guest to enjoy a 2.5 hour hands-on class with unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks. On completion of your class move to our on-site restaurant and savour the dishes you prepared with unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks and receive your souvenir gift.
Meet at the Hanoi Cooking Center at your selected time of either 9am or 2:30pm, then you'll receive a "welcome tea," and meet with your chef. After a brief introduction by your chef about the aspects of traditional Vietnamese meal, take a 3-minute walk to the bustling local market for a detailed tour about market culture at of one of Hanoi's last remaining wet markets. Spend about 30-40 minutes here with your chef, who will guide you around the market, demystifying the local produce and explaining the different areas of the market.
Afterwards, you'll walk back to the cooking center to begin your hands-on cooking class. In about 2.5 hours, you'll prepare between 4 to 5 dishes. The menu will vary depending on seasonal products and may include Vietnamese street food, pagoda vegetarian meals, barbecue, salads and more. During the class, you'll have plenty of opportunity to work closely with the chef who will assist, guide and support you throughout the lesson, as well as share stories of local culture and traditional cooking techniques. Also during the class, you will be offered unlimited local beer, wine and soft drinks.
Upon finishing your the course, you'll move to the restaurant to relax and enjoy the dishes you have prepared, once again accompanied by unlimited drinks. Your chef will join you towards the end of the meal to ensure that any last minute questions are answered and to present you with a departure gift.
