Enjoy this private 6-hour tour of Rio de Janeiro to Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf with a professional photographer/guide. There is no need for selfies on this exclusive tour. The guide will serve as both a personal photographer and tour leader while exploring Rio de Janeiro’s most iconic landmarks.
This private, customized tour of Rio de Janeiro begins with a pickup by your guide from your hotel, who will then drive you to Corcovado and Sugar Loaf. The tour to Corcovado Hill (704m), and the greatest national icon, The Christ Redeemer statue, starts at Copacabana beach and continues along Botafogo beach, then passes by Palácio Guanabara, the official residence of the state´s governor. On the way, you'll pass the Laranjeiras and Cosme Velho districts, where one can still appreciate the old manor homes of coffee plantation owners of the 1800s. On the way down to Sugar Loaf, see Largo do Boticário and Casa dos Abacaxis, relics of the Brazilian Empire.
Continue along Botafogo Beach toward Praia Vermelha, in the district of Urca, passing by the imposing neo-classical buildings of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, the Institute Benjamim Constant for the blind and the National Institute for Mineral Resources. Finally, you'll reach the near-centenary Sugar Loaf cable-car station, the first service in South America and the world´s third oldest. Visit Urca Hill (200m) and Sugar Loaf (395m). Stick around the top of Sugar Loaf for approximately 30-minutes. Your tour ends with hotel drop-off.
Less than 48-hours after your tour, you will receive approximately 100 color photos via zip-file and photo gallery.
