Fly across the Arctic Circle and get proof!
We start by meeting at the Akureyri Domestic airport where we will have a brief safety talk before heading into one of our brand new and luxurious Airvans.
This tour will take you from Akureyri towards Grímsey Island, the vanguard of Iceland to the north. Grimsey is a mere 30 minutes flight from Akureyri, with beautiful scenery on the way and a fair chance to see whales (humpbacks) en-route, in addition to the spectacular Troll Peninsula.
Experience the natural habitat of puffins and one of the last remaining true Icelandic fishing villages where you´ll receive your "Arctic Circle Crossing" badge before feasting on a sample of traditional Icelandic cuisine. It is served by local villagers and timed just before before heading back to Akureyri shore.
We stop for 2 hours - total flight time is 1 hr (30 minutes back and forth).
